There have been rumors about Kristi Noem potentially replaced as DHS secretary for months. Trump is unhappy with Noem not because she leads an increasingly lawless department that has killed American citizens.
Trump is angry with Noem because DHS consistently misses the administration’s deportation goals. Trump wants more cruelty and faster deportations.
The murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota, certainly won’t speed things up on the eviction front. Nationwide protests continue after Good’s killing.

Kristi Noem went on CNN on Sunday to try to justify the killing.
This didn’t go well.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Jake Tapper asked Noem, “The question is, what was she doing when she was moving her car?” »
Noem finally replied:
We’re… why are we arguing with a president who’s trying so hard to keep people safe? Why are we at odds with the law enforcement operations that have been going on in this country for years and working to bring murderers, rapists, drug dealers and fraudsters off the streets of Minnesota, and we don’t have local law enforcement and local elected officials partnering with us to help us do that work?
The overwhelming majority of people in this country said they want America to be safe again, that they don’t want dangerous criminals on our streets. I would encourage the elected leaders of this city and state to work with us, so that we can conduct our operations without the kind of opposition and without the kind of people who are leading and perpetuating the kind of violent rhetoric that we are seeing today.
Noem was lying. Many voters did not vote for Trump because of crime or a desire to see mass deportations.
The reason Trump’s poll numbers are in the trash is because people voted for Trump to cut costs and inflation.
Instead, ICE is in Minnesota shooting a mother of three in the face.
Noem couldn’t explain why an ICE agent shot a woman, so she changed the subject to why anyone would question Trump.
