One of the rising stars of the Trump 2.0-era Democratic Party is Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). Crockett’s willingness to speak bluntly what many Democrats believe to be the truth and confront the administration has won his supporters within his party.
Crockett also caught the attention of Trump, who targeted the Texas congresswoman with racist and sexist slurs.

After the state of Texas further changed its congressional map under Trump’s leadership, Rep. Crockett has several options for the 2026 election.
Rep. Crockett discussed her options on SiriusXM The Lurie Daniel Favors Show.
Daniel Favors asked, “Now, you mentioned this district, and you noted previously that your district was redrawn. Are you planning to continue running to represent in the district in which you will now be located?”
Crockett responded, “I have no idea where I’m going to show up. Those are my three options. Right now we’re waiting for the court to make a final opinion on whether or not these lines will take effect immediately. Our filing period is about to open, so they only have a little more time because you know where you’re showing up. So we’re hoping that we’ll get a court ruling here shortly on whether or not the lines will take effect for this election. The lines can therefore remain. as they are, which means nothing changes in my neighborhood. They can change what has been written into the law. And that means I would be transferred to another neighborhood.
It’s the last part of Crockett’s response where things got really interesting, which you can read and listen to below.
