It is only yesterday that members of his administration and the president declared that on July 4 is a firm deadline to obtain tax reductions for the rich legislation on his office.
On Friday, Trump sang a different song, while the bill rises in smoke faster than one of the Space X rockets of Elon Musk.
The president told journalists on Friday when asked if July 4 was a firm deadline, “it is not the end. It can go longer, but we would like to do it by then.”
The reason why there is no longer a firm deadline is simple. The Senate Republicans do not have 51 votes to adopt the legislation.
What they have is a ton of chaos and intestine struggles. There are factions that compete for the Medicaid cups, the expenses, and Rand Paul, which refuses to vote for any bill that increases the debt ceiling.
The situation is a legislative disaster. Even if the Republicans of the Senate could find a consensus that delivered 51 votes, they should pass something that could cross the room, and it is a whole different problem.
Donald Trump knows exactly who is to blame for this mess, and it’s not Donald Trump.
They are not the Republicans of Congress.
Donald Trump blames Democrats.
During the same event in the White House, Trump said: “The problem we have is that it is a major bill is a popular bill, but we will not get democrats.”
Trump’s bill has a 29%approval rating. The legislation is not popular. Why would Democrats vote for millions of people to lose their health care and millions of others to lose their food aid?
Democrats should not, but Trump’s insistence to blame them hides the fact that he and his party have no interest in building bipartite legislation.
The bill is in trouble, which is why the Senate Republicans are trying to browse the bill.
If the wheels fall from this invoice, they cannot be given.
