The Republicans have, since the 1960s, very good in fear since the 1960s. Over the decades, the fear of crime has been wired in party DNA. This does not mean that sometimes crime was not a problem. Crime was certainly a problem at various times in recent history.

Is crime in 2025 so serious that troops should be deployed?

The answer is no.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) explained why Trump invented a crime crisis on Meet The Press.

Murphy said:

The crime increased during Donald Trump’s first term and when Joe Biden became president, crime began to drop. In fact, he has hacked up in Washington and in the cities of the country. It is therefore not true. The allegation that they do what is going on here in Washington, DC, is just a blow.

Donald Trump did not like the fact that the walls were getting closer to him. His own base wondered why he would not publish Epstein files. Why he protected very powerful people.

He no longer wanted to talk about the fact that our health system is about to collapse due to the cuts they made. The premiums will increase by 75% of Americans, and so true to train. He just decided to create a new cycle. Nothing different is really happening in the Capitol of the United States today. The crime will continue to drop with no. There, the American troops here. Troops of the National Guard here. He just tries to distract stories he does not want the Americans to talk about.

Murphy then abandoned certain facts on the reduction of funding that Democrats have set up to reduce crime.
