On Wednesday, the American aviation industry urged the congress to approve “robust emergency funding” for air traffic control technology and staff.
Three weeks after an outdoor deadly collision near Washington, DC, has marked the worst air disaster in the United States since 2001, groups representing heavy goods vehicles as BoeingThe main American airlines, private aviation and a multitude of unions have written to legislators calling for urgent funding and improvements in American airspace.
They also declared that the Federal Aviation Administration should be exempt from government closings “to ensure a predictable financing flow to ensure the hiring and training of security control and air traffic staff”.
A closure of the 2019 government left federal workers without salary for several weeks, including air traffic controllers and airport screening. This judgment ended a few hours after the staff shortages have groaned theft in several major American airports.
