Discovery Warner Bros. On Monday, the corporate names and the leadership teams of its two future companies announced while the company is preparing to separate from mid-201.

His streaming and studios division will be called “Warner Bros.” And its global network segment will be called “Discovery Global”.

Warner Bros. will host its film properties, including DC Studios and its HBO Max streaming service. Meanwhile, Discovery Global will include its entertainment, sports and news networks, including CNN, TNT Sports in the United States, Discovery, The Discovery + Streaming Service and Bleacher Report.

“In recent years, we have made significant progress in the company, launching and investing in a profitable global streaming service and invigorating our studios to return them to a prominent industry position,” said WBD president and chief executive officer David Zaslav in a statement.

The company announced the split last month while WBD is trying to sail in a change at industry in the visualization habits of traditional streaming cable. The spin-off will create two companies listed on the stock market, after a similar decision of Comcast To divide its cable assets, including CNBC, in the coming months.

The new names announced by Warner Bros. Discovery are a reminder for the two entities that existed before the merger of the company: Warnermedia and Discovery, Inc. which concluded in 2022.

WBD also announced its main leaders for the two divisions, including 13 leaders for Warner Bros. and 16 at Discovery Global. Zaslav will direct Warner Bros., while the current CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery Gunnar Wiedenfels will become CEO of Discovery Global.

“With our unmatched portfolio of narrative IP coupled to our incredible creative partners, and now a management team for creative and proven, daring and committed business leaders, we are in good position to launch and continue to significantly develop a business worthy of our legendary past,” said Zaslav.

Disclosure: Comcast nbcuniversal is the parent company of CNBC.
