Marjorie Taylor Greene ravages Donald Trump

There has always been a disconnect between conservatives who support Donald Trump and what Donald Trump is.

Conservatives have elevated someone who was born rich and never expressed any understanding or concern for the problems of the non-rich to lead a right-wing populist movement.

Well, Trump supporters thought it was a movement. Donald Trump always thought he was building a community that would love him.

It is also difficult to understand that social conservatives thought that a man who had dozens of sexual abuse allegations against him and had been found responsible in a civil court case would be the person to choose to protect those who were abused.

Donald Trump was close friends with Jeffrey Epstein for more than a decade, but his supporters believed him when he promised to release Epstein’s files if he was returned to the White House.

As long as Trump continues his agenda, conservatives will accept the utter hypocrisy of supporting a man who violates so many of their beliefs.

Trump decided that his return to the White House would be up to him, so he blew up his supporters’ agenda. The first crack came from tariffs, which Republicans have traditionally despised.

Trump’s U-turn on the publication of the Epstein files blew everything up big time.

Five years ago, the idea that red-hat loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene would be one of Trump’s biggest issues would have been laughable, but on Sunday morning Greene showed she was launch a serious attack on Trump from the right.

Rep. Greene (R-GA) was on CNN’s State of the Union where she was asked why Trump was attacking her.

Greene spoke for the first time about how she supported Trump:

I stood with President Trump when almost no one else did. I campaigned all over the country, I spent millions of my own dollars to help him get elected, and I think it’s extremely important and I support him and his administration and I support them in fulfilling the campaign promises that we made to the American people.

Of course, his remarks were hurtful. However, I have something in my heart that I believe is extremely important for our country: ending toxic fighting in politics. And it’s been going on for years and it’s dividing our country, it’s dividing our friends and our families and our neighbors, and it’s not solving our problems. The most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely false, was that he called me a traitor. And that is extremely false. And these are the kind of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.
