An argument may be advanced that no one in the consumer media has taken a stronger fall during Trump 2.0 than Jake Tapper from CNN.

After losing his agreement, Tapper jumped on the book of Alex Thompson, which reads as a conspiracy theory or one of the fictional novels to tap on what he thought was the cognitive decline of Joe Biden and the alleged concealment during the 2024 campaign.

CNN infinitely excited the book, which had strong presses, and Then the book fell like a stone in the sea, As Biden did not have a cognitive decline but suffered rather from unheeded cancer.

The show tarnished in the eyes of many viewers, but the same CNN host who thought that Biden was in cognitive decline because of the way the former president answered questions and carried out an interview with the current president, who shows signs of decline by text.

The hypocrisy of this double standard has not gone unnoticed by Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC, which said in part:

Donald Trump has become more difficult to get on Sunday morning, but despair remains and I suppose that deepening. And so yesterday morning, CNN presented an interview with CNN that they cannot even prove was Donald Trump. They called her the news. They called it quota, a new exclusive interview with President Trump. This is how they called it. Before the interviewer said, the president answered my questions about the text on his hopes for this nascent agreement, which you asked him in writing.

So now, instead of letting Trump hide in a phone call where we can at least know that it is he who speaks, that Donald Trump can hide behind the black screen of the texts. We actually have no idea who sent SMS to the answers in this interview. CNN is unable to prove that Donald Trump actually did this SMS.

…

When the story of Donald Trump’s mental decline will be written, it will undoubtedly include this interview yesterday as a turning point in the White House of Donald Trump, taking up Donald Trump’s challenge trying to answer questions during this obvious mental decline for Donald Trump.
