Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Uni discussed the extent of the communication and cooperation of their country during talks in person in the great Pekin people’s room on Thursday.
The meeting occurred one day after the two men appeared with the Vladimir Putin of Russia and other world leaders during a massive military parade in the Tiananmen square in Beijing which has celebrated 80 years since the end of the Second World War and presented the military power of China and deepen the alliances.
The Chinese state media said that XI told Kim that Beijing attached “great importance to traditional friendship” with Pyongyang, and will work to protect peace and stability in the Korean peninsula, improve strategic communications and “maintain, consolidate and develop” bilateral links.
“No matter how the international situation changes, this position will not change,” said Xi.
Kim’s train was seen by leaving Beijing shortly after the end of the meeting, several press organizations reported.
