TAIPIEI, TAIWAN – China has traveled its prices for reprisal against the United States at 84% on Wednesday after the radical tasks of President Donald Trump against 60 countries which he judges the “worst delinquents” on trade took effect.

While most countries were running to negotiate discounts, China responded to the 104% tariffs imposed by Washington by increasing US import rights by 50% compared to previous 34%. These higher prices come into force on Thursday.

“The American climbing of the prices on China is an error in addition to an error, which seriously affects the legitimate rights and interests of China and seriously undermines the multilateral trade system based on rules,” the Chinese finance ministry said in a statement by announcing the 84%tariffs.

Beijing also imposed restrictions on 18 American companies, mainly in defense -related industries, adding to the 60 American people punished for Trump prices, Reuters reported.

The trade battle between the United States and China, the two largest economies in the world, threatens to slow down the world economy and has fueled recession fears.

Trump upset the status quo of the global trade last week, imposing a universal rate of 10% on all imports, from April 5 and additional rates on dozens of countries considered to be unfair business practices, from Wednesday.

Initially, the United States declared that it imposed a rate of 34% on Chinese exports, which Beijing had equaled, which prompted Trump to retaliate this week with another 50% rate on China. Earlier in the year, the United States had imposed a tariff of 20% on China, which he said responded to fentanyl trafficking.

Speaking at a republican party dinner on Tuesday, Donald Trump said the prices “were going to be legendary, positively”.

“Many countries … have ripped to us on the left and right, but now it’s our turn to tear,” he said.

Trump described the prices as “somewhat explosive” and “incredible”, saying that the import prices already generated “almost 2 billion dollars a day” for the United States

The Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterated on Wednesday that Beijing took “resolved and energetic” measures to protect its own interests.

“If the United States really wants to solve the problem by dialogue and negotiation, this should show an attitude of equality, respect and mutual services,” said spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, during a regular press point.

Lin said that “if the United States insists on fighting a tariff war and a trade war, China” will fight definitively until the end “.

World leaders rushed to negotiate, plan telephone calls and send delegations to Washington.

Many governments, including Vietnam and Taiwan, have offered concessions in the hope of avoiding prices.

Trump said that 70 had approached the United States and that officials would start talks with South Korea and Japan.

The actions dropped to Asia on Wednesday, adding to the losses that went on markets around the world since Trump announced the last series of prices last week.
