Donald Trump campaigned on being a social security champion. Since his return to the White House, Trump has continued to assert that he will not touch Social Security, which is not exactly true.

On Friday, the Social Security Administration announced that anyone who accidentally paid for their services will be subject to a reimbursement rate of 100%. In other words, a fixed income person will have their services entered for the too lively.

According to the Social Security Administration:

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that it would increase the restraint of the too-paid by default for beneficiaries of social security 100% from the monthly service of a person. The office of the chief actuer believes that this change will result in an increase in overlapping recovery (that is to say a program economy) of around $ 7 billion in the next decade.

…

As of March 27, the agency will begin to send opinions on the new rate of restraint at 100%, rather than on the recent adjustment of only 10%. The variation in restraint rates applies to new people who are too country linked to social security benefits. The restraint rate of current beneficiaries with an overpayment before March 27 will not change and no action is required. The rate of restraint for additional security income payments remains 10%.

Too too much -paid people after March 27 will be automatically placed in full recovery at a rate of 100% of social security payment. If someone cannot afford the full restoration of their too paid, they can contact Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 or their local office to request a lower recovery rate.

Social security is a very effective program, but sometimes they make mistakes and too much paying people. Sometimes people are not clear about income rules and limits and can accidentally exceed a limit.

Accidents occur, but under the Trump administration, the beneficiaries already on a fixed income will lose everything if they are considered too paid.
