Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) Do not leave the top on Elon Musk. Senator Sanders tried to bring the Republicans to the Senate Committee for Education Labor and Pensions to investigate Doge and the assignment of musk.

Senator Sanders said in part:

I think everyone in this committee and the American people understand who directs the government, and it will not be the secretary to work. It will not be the Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration. With all the respect due to the candidates of President Trump, the person who runs the government at the moment is Elon Musk.

Mr. Musk took on himself, with the support of President Trump, to practically dismantle the American government. Yesterday, shocking – and I speak as a former president of the veterans committee – he is scandalous and beyond the belief that, even if the veterans put their lives at stake to defend our country, yesterday, we heard that 80,000 employees of the VA will be dismissed.

Almost all Americans understand how important social security is for the well-being of our elders. Yesterday, we learned that they were about to get rid of half of social security employees, at a time when social security is now serious. Mr. Musk ordered HHS, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education to dismiss employees, submit confidential and sensitive data and challenge legal orders.

Mr. President, if we are serious about the exercise of our constitutional responsibilities, which I hope that we are all, it is essential that our committee hears the person who is in fact in charge of the federal government.

Yesterday, it was reported that Mr. Musk met the Republican senators at a private meeting for 90 minutes, and plans to do the same with the Republican members of the Chamber. It’s very good.

The Washington Post reported that Mr. Musk had given his mobile phone number to the Republican senators and has promised to communicate more effectively with the Congress Republicans. It’s very good.

But what do you know? My voters from Vermont and voters in this country want to know what is going on with the federal government at the moment. And it will not be the next assistant work secretary who will tell them.

So, if we are serious, Mr. President, on our surveillance responsibilities, we must discover what is happening in the federal government. And the way we do it is to carry Mr. Musk before this committee.

Therefore, Mr. President, I would like to make a motion.

I move that in accordance with its authority under the rules 25 and 26 of the permanent Senate rules, and rule 17 of the Rules of Procedure of the American Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions authorized by this Survey on the actions of the United States.

The Senate Republicans were not about to investigate Musk and Doge, but it is important that the Democratic Caucus of the Senate continues to try. There is never a bad way to raise the fact that what Musk and his Doge do is illegal /.

Sanders was right. It doesn’t matter who leads these agencies because the real person in charge is Elon Musk. It is musk that must be arrested, but the Senate republicans will do nothing as long as Musk’s actions are starting to cause them political damage to them.
