Days after Trump addressed the nation and proclaimed that the United States militarily dominated Iran, the Iranians shot down a U.S. fighter jet and one pilot remains missing. Two Blackhawk helicopters that participated in the search and rescue mission that recovered a pilot also came under Iranian fire.
It is clear that the situation in Iran has nothing to do with that described by the president. So, with the disappearance of an American pilot in Iran, the president has some explaining to do to the nation, but even though he is in Washington, DC for the Easter weekend, Donald Trump has disappeared from public view.

The White House shut down travel and photos as of 11 a.m. ET, meaning we don’t expect to see the president for the rest of the day. Trump is in Washington this weekend, but we have yet to have an official press briefing on the situation of the missing airman in Iran.
Apparently even Trump is smart enough to understand that it would look bad to fly to Florida to go golfing while an American pilot is missing in Iran, but I’m sure Trump has plenty of words of support for the troops, the country, and the missing pilot’s family on his social media account.
