Nexstar media group said on Wednesday that he continued to assess if it will bring “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Back to his stations Abc-Affiliate, one day after the return of the late evening show Disney– Network formed.
The television stations broadcast from Nexstar affiliated to ABC did not broadcast Kimmel’s return at the end of the evening on Tuesday.
“Nexstar continues to assess the status of” Jimmy Kimmel Live! “On our local television stations affiliated with ABC, and the program will be pre -empted while we do,” said Nexstar in a statement. “We are involved in productive discussions with managers of Walt Disney Company, emphasizing the guarantee that the program reflects and respects the various interests of the communities that we serve.”
Nexstar, with its colleague owner of the station Sincelairsaid it would preempt Kimmel when Disney made the program broadcast on Tuesday, leaving customers in many markets unable to watch the program on their local station.
A representative of Sinclair referred CNBC to his statement on Monday, who said that the company’s stations pre -empted the program and that “discussions with ABC were underway while we assess the potential performance of the program”.

The actor approached the situation during his monologue on Tuesday.
“We are still on the air in most of the country, except ironically from Washington, DC, where we were pre -empted,” said Kimmel after a commercial break. “After almost 23 years in difficulty, we are suddenly not disseminated in 20% of the country, which is not a situation that we savor.”
Last week, ABC Parent Disney said that he would temporarily suspend production on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Following comments from the host Kimmel who linked the alleged killer of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk to the Maga Movement of President Donald Trump.
Kimmel’s suspension occurred shortly after an announcement by Nexstar that she would not broadcast the program – as well as the comments of the president of the Federal Communications Brendan Carr suggesting that ABC affiliation stations could risk losing broadcast licenses on Kimmel’s comments.
“I never intended to shed light on the murder of a young man,” said Kimmel in the emotional monologue on Tuesday. “I don’t think there is something funny about it.”
