When a Democrat can go on Fox News and effectively fight a network that has become the unofficial television channel of the Trump administration, those appearances have value, especially since at least 14 to 25 percent of Fox News viewers, whether casual or regular viewers, are Democrats. At least 24% of independents say they get their news from Fox News.
There is a significant audience that listens to Fox News that is not Republican and may be open to the Democratic message.

It’s also important that Democrats who use Fox News address the structural bias in the network’s news coverage.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) appeared on Fox News’ The Sunday Briefing, and was asked, “How much are the Democrats willing to take, you know… When they try to unseat the Republicans in Congress, are they willing to abandon their values?”
Jeffries turned the tables:
It’s very interesting that you asked me about the candidates, many of whom haven’t even participated in a Democratic primary yet, but you didn’t ask me a single question about the hatred, the xenophobia, the Islamophobia, the outright racism that we see peddled by actual members of Congress in the Republican conference sitting in the House of Representatives right now.
