The women’s 340 million women’s female basketball league is now estimated at $ 340 million after a new funding series which included the legend of Serena Williams tennis, the League announced on Monday.

Serena Ventures de Williams was part of a financing tour of the B series led by Bessemer Venture Partners and also included Discovery Warner Bros. And Alex Morgan’s Trybe companies. Useless has not disclosed the size of individual contributions.

The latest treasury infusion of Invalided means a spectacular increase in its valuation of only a year ago when the league was evaluated at $ 95 million, according to a person familiar with the league which spoke under the cover of anonymity of internal questions.

The investment occurs while female sports have climbed in popularity and evaluation in recent years.

“To undoubtedly add the most emblematic female athlete for playing sports, I think it illustrates who, unrivaled, is not only with our players on the field, but the number of investors on our ceiling table which had been icons in their own tracks,” said Alex Bazzell, co-founder and president of without granted.

Other unrivaled investors include high -level names such as the legend of tennis Billie Jean King, the superstar of the NBA Stephen Curry, the tennis champion Coco Gauff and the Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

Bessemer previously invested in the Stobhub ticket office site, as well as in the Ballertv and Twitch streaming services. The venture capital company considers unequaled as a plan for the next generation of sports leagues, according to Caty Rea, Vice-President of Bessemer.

“We are still looking for companies defining the categories with generational tail winds and truly daring founders who have this product difficult to install,” said Rea. “We had the impression that we had found it with unrivaled.”

Undoued was founded in 2023 and offers female professional basketball players a league that runs during the WNBA off-season. Previously, many players went abroad during the offseason for additional compensation.

The League says that it offers women the highest average salary in the history of sport of professional women and offers capital capital.

As a comparison, the WNBA does not offer equity to its players, and the players are currently negotiating their collective agreement, which expires on October 31. One of the key issues being debated is an increase in players’ remuneration. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert told CNBC in July that the average evaluation of the WNBA team increased to around $ 260 million.

Bazzell said the new funding will be used to add more resources to the League facilities for development efforts and to create an additional conscience of the League when it goes to its second season.

“We have built a sustainable and sticky audience, both on television and certainly on the social. So we must now develop this footprint,” he said.
