After Rachel Maddow made segments on his MSNBC show speaking of Nunes Devin and the scandal of Russia, Nunes, which was then a member of the Congress, continued Maddow for defamation in 2021.
Instead of doing what so many major media and talent companies at high prices have done when Donald Trump continued them for defamation in 2024, Rachel Maddow and NBC / Universal fought the case, and a fun thing has happened.
Maddow and NBC won.

In a 24 -page decision, Castel said Nunes, a long -standing supporter of US President Donald Trump, had not shown that Maddow was aware of a July 2020 article in Politico saying that the FBI had received the package.
The judge did not find any clear and convincing evidence that Maddow had a “high degree of conscience of probable falsity”, or all proof that “the defendant’s admitted political prejudice made the defendant act with an imprudent contempt of the truth”.
Broken lawyers and Trump Media immediately responded to requests for comments on Monday. Nbcuniversal lawyers did not immediately respond to similar requests.
There should not have been something unusual about this result. Maddow and NBC did what media societies previously faced bogus in defamation of proceedings of stories.
They fought the case.
