It was fascinating to see the senior officials of the Trump administration called before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and being breastfeeding by members for the violation of data which involved those responsible for the Trump administration Adding a journalist to a cat involuntarily pointing, then on the run of the military strike plan in Yemen.

National intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard refused throughout the hearing to admit that she was part of the cat, even thought that other witnesses of the Trump administration confirmed that they had participated, and someone with the initials TG was in the cat.

Gabbard also said three times that there were no classified data disclosed in the cat.

Senator Angus King did not buy it.

King video:

Senator King said:

Director Gabbard, I did not intend to get into the story of Jeffrey Goldberg, but something you told me perplexed. According to open source reports at 11:44 am on the morning of March 15, the secretary heads put in this text a detailed operating plan, including target the weapons we were going to use, attacking sequences and timing.

And yet, you have testified that nothing in this technology, in this channel has been classified. Wouldn’t that be classified? What if it had been made public that morning before the attack took place?

Gabbard replied: “The senator, I can attest to the fact that there were no classified actions or intelligence. I was included in this cat group at any time, and I get back. ”

King asked: “So attack, sequencing and timing and weapons and you are targeting, you don’t consider it, should have been classified?”

Gabbard replied: “I report to the Secretary for Defense and the National Security Council on this issue.”

Senator King said:

You are the head of your head of the intelligence community and you are supposed to know the classifications.

Your testimony is therefore very clear today that nothing was in this set of classified texts. I will follow the question of senator Yen if so. Please free up all this flow of text so that the public can have a view of what really happened on this discussion, it is difficult for me to believe that targets, timing and weapons would not have been classified.

The current director of national intelligence, she said, does not know the classifications.

The biggest problem here is that the national intelligence director apparently has no problem with the idea of lying at the congress and if the DNI will potentially lies in the congress on several occasions, it would probably not lose any sleep at the idea of lying to the American people.

As Pete Buttigieg said“These people cannot keep America safe.”

When they have to respond to Congress, they do not seem to have scruples to lie.

This is a national security crisis that Donald Trump has created and Republicans of the Senate stamped in confirmation hearings.

What do you think of the exchange of Senator King with Tulsi Gabbard? Share your reflections in the comments below.
