I recently went back and looked at some of his speeches and rallies from ten years ago, and many of them, while still full of lies and inaccuracies, were about 30 minutes long. Trump appealed to people because he offered simple answers, not based in reality, to complex problems.

Come to think of it, Trump’s decline began to show in 2018, and since then it has been like an avalanche on the mountainside.
