TThe Great American State Fair was a big failure for Trump. The combination of extreme summer heat and an event unappealing to average Americans resulted in a fair designed to make Trump, the focus of the Fourth of July, look like a yard sale in the rain.
Fox News livestreamed Trump’s event daily and did its best to implore people to come.but his broadcasts also serve to document how empty the event is.
Here’s what the Trump fair looked like Thursday morning:
There were fewer people on Thursday than all week.
The situation has gotten so bad that Fox News is even asking Trump administration officials, like Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, where are the people?
Rollins responded by saying everything is fine and she thinks the crowd will be there this weekend:
So, from my point of view, it achieves exactly all the goals we were hoping to achieve at this point.
I think this weekend we’re going to see massive crowds, but, you know, my goal is for people to be able to come walk and experience it. And 150,000 people coming out to celebrate the Great American State Fair over the last five or six days, I call that a huge success.
People are coming, really, they are coming. Trust us, this seems like wishful thinking by the administration.
Fox News kept saying there were “patriots” at the fair only to have to backtrack.
