Trump Collapses on Canadian Bridge, Says China Will Ban Hockey in Canada

The Detroit River has been a vital trade route between the United States and Canada since the Civil War. The Ambassador Bridge is the busiest crossing on the Canada-US border. To resolve traffic problems and boost trade between the two countries, a new bridge will soon be opened. The Gordie Howe International Bridge will provide a highway between the two countries. It also includes free cycling and pedestrian paths.

This is a significant development decades in the making and will connect Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario.

This bridge also sparked one of Donald Trump’s most deranged meltdowns.

Trump posted on Truth Social:

As everyone knows, Canada has treated the United States very unfairly for decades. Now things are changing for the USA, and FAST! But imagine, Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. They own both the Canadian side and the American side and, of course, built it with virtually no American content.

President Barack Hussein Obama stupidly gave them a waiver so they could bypass the BUY AMERICAN Act and not use American products, including our steel. Now the Canadian government expects me, as President of the United States, to simply “Enjoy America!” » What does the United States of America get – Absolutely NOTHING!

As usual, Trump leaves out some very important details. The most important detail Trump left out early in the story is that construction of the bridge began on July 5, 2018, when a certain Donald J. Trump was president.

If this bridge was such a bad idea, we should blame the president for standing by and letting it be built.

The reason Trump didn’t say anything at that time is because the bridge remains a great and important idea, but the president was just getting started with it.
