Nexstar media groupOne of the largest owners of television stations broadcast, said that it would not broadcast the return of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday.

The company joins Sinclair, Which said on Monday, he did not plan to ventilate the late evening show and display other programs instead.

ABC parent Disney Announced on Monday that it would bring back “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” After stopping the show indefinitely last week after comments from the host Kimmel who linked the alleged killer of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk to the Maga Movement of President Donald Trump.

Nexstar was among the first to respond to Kimmel’s comments.

“We made a decision last week to pre -empt” Jimmy Kimmel Live! “According to what ABC called the comments of Mr. Kimmel, sheltered from Mr. Kimmel, at a critical moment in our national speech.

“In the meantime, we note that” Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Will be available nationally on several streaming products belonging to Disney, while our stations will focus on pursuing the production of local news and other relevant programs for their respective markets,” said the company.

Nexstar and Sinclair are among the largest owners of television posts in the United States that companies have and operate stations on local markets which are affiliated with major networks such as ABC, Fox, NBC and CBS.

Nexstar has around 30 stations affiliated with ABC on markets, notably Salt Lake City, Nashville and New Orleans. Sinclair has and operates nearly 40 ABC affiliation stations.

Although the stations offer local content, such as Live News, they also broadcast the national programming affiliated to their network, especially live, at the end of the evening, national television, national news and series in prime time. Station owners allow themselves to allow the government spectrum and networks are free – which means that consumers can look at networks for free with an antenna.

Following Kimmel’s comments last Monday, the president of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, suggested that the licenses were likely to be revoked because the stations and the networks are held by law to operate in “public interest”.

Carr declared on CNBC last week that Kimmel’s comments seemed to “directly induce the American public on … probably one of the most important political events we have had for a long time”.

During Kimmel’s opening monologue last Monday, Kimmel said that the “Gang Maga” desperately tried to characterize this kid who had murdered Charlie Kirk as something other than one of them and do everything they can to score political points. “

“Between the tips of the fingers, there was mourning. Friday, the White House piloted the flags at half of the staff, which was criticized, but at a human level, you can see how the president takes care of,” he continued, by dipping a Trump clip on the lawn of the White House in which the president will fold a question on Kirk but quickly tracks to talk about construction.

This is a news. Please update updates.
