It’s the best way to boycott Disney

The Walt Disney Company is a business megapower. Disney has its mouse legs in almost everything, so when people who are scandalized about Disney removing Jimmy Kimmel in the air talk about a boycott, there are a few things to discuss.

A boycott of all Disney should not go anywhere, because the decision of Kimmel de Disney was not financial. Disney gave up one of their best programs without much consideration for what it would cost them. Kimmel was on average 1.77 million viewers per night in the last quarter. There is nothing but ABC can put in its place which will bring the same viewers or more.

Disney knew it and still Kimmel.

The company could do this because it is massive and has many other sources of income. Since people should boycott Marvel, Star Wars, The Muppets, ABC, Hulu and Pixar, to name only a few entertainment brands, Disney is not worried about the general boycotts.

However, Disney has a weakness with four letters called ESPN. The sports network has massive agreements of several billion dollars with the NCAA for basketball and football, and NFL, among others.

ESPN is the engine of secret Disney income through transport supplier transport costs.

Transport costs are monthly costs paid to a network by each satellite and cable subscriber. If you get your TV from a service like YouTubetv, you also pay transport costs, but it has been assumed that digital television costs are much lower than traditional cable and satellite. It is assumed that because the costs of costs are confidential, no one knows how much subscribers pay for ESPN.

By the way, even if you never watch ESPN, if you subscribe to a monthly television service, you always pay Disney, whether you know it or not.

From time to time, the public obtains a number. In 2022, Disney revealed to shareholders that he earn more money costs for ESPN ($ 10 billion) than for the entire entertainment division.

ESPN transport costs are Disney’s milk cow, and this is also the place where you can most effectively protest Trump’s cave on Jimmy Kimmel.

If you have a cable or satellite, cut the cord. If you do not wish to cancel your service, call your supplier and ask to be moved to a package that does not include ESPN. If they do not have a package that does not include ESPN, you may need to decide whether or not to cut the cord.

Disney earns more money transport costs for ESPN than advertising, This is why a traditional boycott would not be effective.

If you want to let Disney know that you will not support a company that caves in Trump, follow the money and stop subsidizing ESPN with expensive transport costs.

Have you cut the cord or will you agree not to finance Disney thanks to ESPN cart costs? Share your reflections in the comments below.
