CBS to be canceled late at night with Stephen Colbert next year

As an independent and criticism of the current administration to disappear, please support Politicususa by becoming a subscriber.

In a shocking decision, CBS announced that it would cancel the end of the night with Stephen Colbert in May 2026 and would completely leave the television sector at the end of the evening.

Colbert said to his audience during the recording on Thursday:

Next year will be our last season. The network will end our show in May. This is the end of “The Late Show” on CBS. All this disappears.

I mean that the people of CBS have been large partners. I am very grateful to Tiffany Network for giving me this chair and this beautiful theater to call at home. And of course, I am grateful to you, the public, who joined us every night here, there, all over the world.

The news is not a complete shock because the Ellison Allies brothers by Trump take control of CBS, and one of their objectives is to withdraw Trump’s criticisms.

It was first issued for the first time a few weeks ago that Stephen Colbert at CBS and Jon Stewart in Now Ellison, the Daily Show, could be pushed from the air. It was considered less likely than Colbert would be canceled because the show is generally the best rated at the end of the evening, and CBS spent decades to struggle at the end of the evening until David Letterman moves from NBC.

The Trump impact on the media is very real. Since Trump returned to functions, criticism from his administration have been withdrawn from consumer media.

If Colbert wants to continue his late evening show, if the decision to review was strictly on business, the networks would trip to sign it.

Where Colbert then finds himself, should be considered a test of the will of the media to resist Trump.

If Stephen Colbert quickly found a new large -scale house, it will be a sign of hope. Otherwise, the loss of Colbert will reflect the complete cave of the consumer media in Trump.
