A complaint emerged in publications on social networks in Chinese language that a member of the American Congress named “Jack Kimble” suggested selling all the American beef in India if China ceases import.
But the complaint is false. There is no member of the US Congress by this name. The complaint came from a satirical article on social networks.
A Taiwanese political talk and TVBS Talk TVBS, cited the Chinese point of sale Netatease to say that a member of the US Congress named “Jack Kimble” suggested selling all the American beef in India if China ceases import.
The show’s guest, the Taiwanese lieutenant-general, Shuai Hua-Min, used the claim to criticize the United States as ignorant, noting that Indians do not eat beef.

The United States and China have a trade battle in Tit-For-Tat, which threatens to kill the world economy after Trump announced new prices on most countries.
More specifically, the Trump administration increased its trade war with Beijing by hiking import taxes on Chinese products up to 145%
China, which is committed to “fighting to the end” if Washington continues to degenerate the commercial ship, retaliated by imposing 125% tasks on American exports, which prompted American companies to seek alternative markets and manufacturing bases.
India has become a key partner in this realignment. US vice-president JD VANCE recently visited India to advance negotiations on a bilateral trade agreement aimed at stimulating trade from 190 billion US dollars to US $ 500 billion by 2030. Discussions include tariff loss and increased imports of American products by India.
But the complaint regarding the pretensions notes made by a member of the US Congress named “Jack Kimble” is false.
Research on keywords revealed that the complaint came from a satirical post from a parody X account named “rep. Jack Kimble ”.
The account is known for political satire and is explicitly described as a representative of the 54th district of the California congress – California has only 52 districts.
According to the official website of the House of Representatives of the United States, there is no member named “Jack Kimble”.
On April 16, the parody account published a satirical message suggesting to sell beef to India if China stops buying it. This message was wrongly translated and widely shared on Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo, Douyin and even Chinese points of sale affiliated to the state like Hua Shang Daily.

Other complaints made by satirical account X have been demystified by Reuters, USA Today and Politifact.
