After Trump suggested that Elon Musk should become more aggressive with federal workers, Musk sent an email to each federal worker asking what they did last week. Musk told workers that not responding to email would be considered their resignation.

The Democrats of the Chamber jumped And demanded that 24 federal agencies tell their employees to ignore Musk’s email, which left the Trump administration in the choice of supporting Musk or supporting people who direct executive branch agencies and, in the process, revealing that Musk has no power.

The Trump administration has chosen to humiliate musk.

Hadas Gold of CNN posted on X:

The OPM has officially informed HR chiefs in all agencies today that the email “that you did last week” is voluntary and that non-compliance is not equal to the resignation. This is an e-mail that I obtained sent to officials of the HR DOJ.

In other words, Elon Musk does not have the power and the legal authority to make requests to federal workers and to dismiss them.

The Democrats of the Chamber demanded that Trump put a leash MuskAnd his administration did it.

The next time Elon Musk is trying to take an illegal blow like this, federal workers will have a better understanding of the limits of Musk’s power.

Elon Musk’s email was in violation of the Constitution appointment clause.

Article II dry. 2 Article 2 of the Constitution stipulates:

He will have the power, by and with the council and the consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided that two thirds of the senators present; And he will name, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, appoint ambassadors, other ministers and public consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not Here otherwise provided for, and which will be established by law: but the Congress may by the law of appointment such lower officers, as they think correctly, in the president alone, before the courts, or in the head of departments.

Musk is not a legally appointed chief and confirmed by the Senate of a department. Legally, he does not have the capacity to hire and dismiss anyone who is a federal employee.

The Trump Administration exhibited Elon Musk as having no real power.

Musk ended up humiliating with his difficult email.
