House Democrats to force vote to cut Trump’s arms fund

The Justice Department says it is no longer seeking Donald Trump’s weapons fund to pay his allies and supporters who attacked the Capitol and tried to overturn the 2020 election.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress don’t seem to believe the administration’s claim that Trump isn’t going to pursue the fund, and for good reason, as Trump told Meet The Press that he thinks the fund is a great idea.

Trump said:

Well, look. If it were up to me, I would give them the kind of money they deserve. People were destroyed. Lives have been destroyed. Lots of suicides, think about it. People have committed suicide because a gang of thugs chased them.

I love the idea.

So let me explain what this fund is. People were hurt so badly by radical leftist lunatics who worked for the Biden administration and Sleepy Joe. They are vicious. They are violent, what they did to people. And of course, they took it out on me more than anyone else. They attacked Mar-a-Lago and everything else.

Trump loves this idea, which is why Rep. Jamie Raskin is taking steps to force a vote to kill it.
