Trump knows he failed in Iran and he showed it with a classic projection of Obama

Even Donald Trump seems to know that his Iran deal is bullshit. How else to explain the sad spectacle of the weak 80-year-old president trying to promote a bad agreement by inventing a story about Barack Obama at the G7?

Trump tried to claim that the Iranians were laughing at Obama.

The president said:

He tried to bribe his way out. I didn’t do that. Nobody talks about it. They tried to bribe 1.7 billion and hundreds of millions of dollars. And you know what the Iranians did? They made fun of Obama and said he was a stupid son of a bitch.

Video:

There is so much projection in this comment. Obama didn’t need bribes to get out of anything with Iran, because he wasn’t stupid enough to believe Netanyahu and start a war. Obama did not bribe Iran. Obama did not give billions of dollars to the Iranians. Former President Obama did give Iran access to some of its assets frozen by the United States, but this access was limited and conditional. The money could only be used to buy food and medicine.

Trump placed no such conditions on his Iran deal, in which he agreed to unfreeze assets, lift all sanctions and give Iran access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund.

Trump then explained how bad this deal was for the United States during his G7 press conference.
