After the Chamber adopted legislation forcing all Americans to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote, the Democrats of the Senate did not waste time ensuring that the country knew that the bill was dead.

The Senate Democrat Chief Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said in a statement:
Trump and the Congress Republicans are increasing their assault on American democracy through harmful save act. Congress Republicans push a proposal that would force states in the institution of policies that would effectively prevent millions of American citizens from voting, automatically highlight the registration of voters and derail the registration training of voters in person. It is an outrage.
We support all safe, transparent and secure elections. And countless studies have proven beyond doubt that electoral fraud has disappeared. But the Republicans of Congress want to disintegrate millions of American citizens, grasp the control of our elections and edit the flames of skepticism and denialism.
Let me be clear, under my leaders, the Democrats of the Senate will ensure that this takeover does not pass the Senate.
It will take 60 votes to adopt the Save Act in the Senate, which means that it needs democratic votes. I do not think there is a single democrat in the Senate who would be willing to vote for this bill.
I don’t think the Save Act has a single democratic vote in the Senate. I doubt that the Save Act has enough votes to erase an obstacle to switch to a final vote.
The Save Act is an anti-vote bill and a long-standing dream of the Republicans to deprive millions of probable democratic voters across the country. It is a shameless power to destroy democracy.
This is not going on too because of the Democrats do not allow it.
The captures of being able will continue to be attempted, and it will be up to the Democrats and the American people to stop them at each turn.
What do you think of the Democrats of the Senate, promising to kill the act of safeguard? Join the discussion in the comments below.
