Before the Senate’s vote, the Democratic Directorate of the House held a press conference where the head of the Hakeem Jeffries minority explained why the Democrats of the Chamber were almost unanimously opposed to CR.

Jeffries said: “The democratic position of the room is very clear. We firmly oppose all efforts to reduce the health care of the American people, social benefits and nutritional assistance, which are all in the partisan republican bill. We will continue to support Social Security, Maladie, Medicaid, benefits and public schools. At the same time, Donald Trump and the Republicans of the Chamber are trying to take a chainsaw with these important priorities of the American people. »»

The final vote was 62-38 to break the filibusier.

Here is a list of the Democrats of the Senate who betrayed their party and their country:

1) Durbin 2) King 3) SChatz 4) Schumer 5) Cortez Masto 6) Fetterman 7) Peters 8) Hassan 9) Gillibrand 10) Shaheen.

It was the Democrats who voted to allow the adoption of a bill in the Senate that reduces health care, social benefits and nutritional assistance to hungry Americans.

Two of the senators who voted to break the filibusier retire. Shaheen and Peters will not present themselves to re -election.

Cortez Mastro and Fetterman are trying to repel difficult re -election fights in swing states in the coming years. Durbin, Schumer, Gillibrand, King, Hassan and Shatz all come from safe blue states.

These democrats in seats of a safe blue state are those who have betrayed their country and their voters the most.

Senator Jon Ossoff, who faces a potentially difficult re -election battle to keep his seat in Georgia next year, had the courage to vote for the filibusier and declare that he will vote against the bill.

Ten Democrats in the Senate sold their colleagues in the House, their party and their country by giving A president who clearly wants to be an authoritarian power even more power.

These Democrats in the Senate could have taken a stand for their country and their democracy. Instead, they invented false choice For why they had to support this horrible CR.

These democrats have committed an act of betrayal which will not be forgotten.
