Chef Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats of the Chamber remained faithful to their word. They did not support the CR of President Mike Johnson and forced Johnson to find enough republican votes to make him pass by himself.

Johnson and Trump twisted enough weapons to pass the CR 217-213. Due to the democratic retirement of the room this week, the room will be out of session until next week.
Representative Thomas Massie was the only republican to vote no, and representative Jared Golden was the only democrat to vote yes.
The CR is now moving to the Senate, where some Democrats are already showing weak knees.
CNN reported:
And the senator of Georgia, Jon Ossoff, who faces a potentially difficult re -election next year, told CNN that a judgment was “not in the interests of our country” and “we will see what comes out of the house”.
Democrats exasperated on both sides of the Capitol have the impression of working with little clarity of the other’s strategy. The Democrats of the Chamber are increasingly impatient because the best Democrats in the Senate, including Schumer, have not yet exposed their position. It is not only a rank: Schumer did not inform Jeffries on his plans, according to a democratic legislator close to Jeffries.
This is a problem that the Democrats of the Chamber and the Senate seem to operate on two different planets.
The Democrats in the House seem to have received the message from their supporters that they should resist and fight.
The Democrats of the Senate would be worried about being blamed for a closure which, since they are already in a minority, is a selfish concern.
The Senate Democrats should be more worried about demoralizing their base so that they do not present themselves and do not present themselves to key races in the Senate as in Michigan next year. The Democrats of the Senate must understand that they did not run the moderates or their supporters by turning around and playing dead for Trump.
Democrats want to fight. The Democrats in the House did not cave the line and made Johnson and Trump obtained the votes.
The Senate Democrats should do the same or be ready to face a reaction from the supporters.
