The American people see the truth. The vast majority, typically between 65 and 80 percent of people surveyed in a poll, blame Donald Trump for the economic problems and things that are going wrong in the country.
Yet the administration continues to place blame on Joe Biden, even though he has not been in office for nearly a year and a half.
Spirit Airlines had been struggling for years. In fact, all airlines are in trouble right now, so it’s important to be realistic about the situation Spirit was in before the Iran war.
A budget airline that was holding up before Trump’s return to power has been pushed to the limit by Trump’s destruction of the economy.
This is the common sense explanation for what happened to Spirit, but it is not the explanation used by the Trump administration.
At a news conference Saturday, Transportation’s Sean Duffy gave a bizarre explanation for why the administration couldn’t come to a deal to save Spirit: “Again, they have the final say on whether they want to make a deal with the government. But also from the government’s perspective, we often don’t have a half-billion dollars in a reserve account that we could put toward an airline bailout. So there’s been some creative thinking.” about how that could happen. Those two things never came to fruition.”
The administration has no problem finding money to bail out Trump-friendly foreign governments, but it can’t reach a deal to save 17,000 jobs.
Duffy said the person responsible for this job loss is Joe Biden.
