Lucide Group significantly increased its production and sales last year while continuing to ramp up production of its new Gravity SUV.
The all-electric vehicle maker said Monday that its deliveries last year rose to 15,841 units, up 55% from 2024, including a more than 70% year-over-year increase during the fourth quarter.
The automaker also met a previously lowered production target of around 18,000 vehicles in 2025, down from an initial expectation of 20,000 vehicles. It produced 18,378 units last year, including 8,412 electric vehicles in the fourth quarter.
Much of that increase is likely due to a prolonged ramp-up of its Gravity SUV, which has faced numerous challenges, primarily supply chain shortages, the company said.
In addition to Lucid’s own challenges, electric vehicle makers are facing industry-wide issues, such as rising costs due to tariffs and slowing expected electric vehicle sales, as well as regulatory changes that are negatively impacting sales and profits, including the end of federal consumer incentives.
