The mainstream media tends to display its ignorance and show how little attention it pays to what is happening in government when it provides America with a reaction that seems out of step with the events themselves.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s break with Trump has been a long time coming. Greene has been in the mainstream media for weeks telegraphing the break with Trump, because it was so obvious that the only thing that was a surprise about Greene’s resignation was its timing.

Congressional Republicans all seem terrified of becoming the next Liz Cheney. None of them want to take on Trump and then get elected and lose. Usually, Republicans retire or resign and then criticize Trump.
Greene did not first announce her resignation and then criticize Trump. She criticized Trump then, threatened with a primary, she resigned.
Rep. Greene’s logic made sense. She didn’t want to fight to keep her seat and then have to spend two years in the minority because she thinks Democrats will win back the House.
Greene will not be the House Republican who comes to the same conclusion and heads for the exits in the coming months.
However, Rep. Greene’s handling of Trump’s criticism did not sit well with Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX).
Crockett said when asked about Greene’s resignation on CNN’s State Of The Union:
You know what? Honestly, I was like, you’ve got to be kidding me. You’re on the other side of the president for a week and you can’t stand the heat. Imagine what it’s like to be in my shoes to not only be on the opposite side of him, but to have people like her constantly fanning the flames of hatred, and imagine what those threats feel like.
