Trump breaks down and falsely claims Biden stole credit for insulin price drop

Donald Trump doesn’t seem to have much idea of what’s going on around him. Like many declining octogenarians, he also tends to struggle with recent history, even if it’s only a few years old.

The general problem with Trump’s entire political career is that he doesn’t know the difference between laws and executive actions. Presidents do not pass laws. Executive actions taken by presidents have neither the weight nor the force of laws.

Donald Trump has never understood this distinction.

Trump also took credit for the accomplishments of Barack Obama, Joe Biden and other presidents in the past. So it was interesting to see him melt down and complain because he wrongly believed that Joe Biden was taking credit for something he never did.

Trump said at the White House on Thursday:

I’m really glad it was early in my administration because I took insulin and got it down to about $25 but it didn’t take effect. It didn’t take effect for two years according to the law, so it couldn’t come into effect.
