Did you know that the Trump administration has attempted to condition public funding to combat domestic violence? Less than a week ago, a federal judge ruled that the Trump administration cannot condition grants intended to combat domestic violence on the removal of the DEI.
It could be argued that by weakening efforts to combat domestic violence, the Republican Party, whether intentionally or as an unintended consequence, has become the pro-domestic violence party.
While holding a news conference with House Republican leaders Wednesday, Speaker Mike Johnson stopped short of blaming Democrats for the government shutdown he caused and his refusal to reopen the House to make a breathtaking statement.
The latest hearing in Florida resulted in a federal judge granting a restraining order against a sitting congressman because he believed Mills had harmed the woman and put her at risk of becoming a victim of dating violence.
