Governor Gavin Newsom spoke to the Nation of Los Angeles, California, where he stated his plan to fight Trump’s efforts to rig the 2026 elections by asking the people of California to decide on the neutralization of Texas Congressal District Gerrymander.

Looking at Governor Newsom today, he is clear how much his strategy has changed since the start of the year. Gavin Newsom went from the organization of a podcast which presented discussions with Magas like Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk to direct the charge and to understand exactly where the Democratic voters are.
Newsom said:
Here, we are in sight before a vote was expressed during the mid-term elections of 2026 and here, he tries once again to fuel the system. He does not play by a set of different rules, he does not believe in the rules. Consequently, we must unsubscribe from the way things have been done. It is not good enough to hold your hand and have a candlelit vigil and talk about how the world should be.
We must recognize the cards that have been treated and meet fire with fire. We must be held at a higher level of responsibility. This is what it is. It is not complicated. We do this in reaction to a President of the United States who called an in-office and said to find five seats. We do it in reaction to this act. We do it carefully to our superior angels and better angels. We are careful that we want to model better behavior, that we have been doing for 15 years in the state of California with our redistribution committee.
We cannot unilaterally disarm.

We cannot take a step back and watch democracy disappear. We cannot take a step back and watch this democracy disappear the district by district, in all this country. Not only in Texas, but also in Missouri, where JD Vance went a week ago, Indiana, Ohio and Florida. We have to get up – not just California – other blue states should get up. We must be firm in our determination. We are here under this day. I am grateful to have remarkable partners in the Legislative Assembly.
