The representative Al Green (D-TX) continues to Increase the pressure on Donald Trump on its actions involving Iran.
Wednesday, the Green representative went to the house floor and pronounced a warning to Trump.
Green said:
I get up today, Mr. President, with a very special message, a warning. A warning for the most powerful man in the universe. I am told to the President of the United States of America, Mr. President, it is a question of having to return to Iran. It is a question of not having been done as planned.
I don’t comment to find out if it should or shouldn’t go. But I comment on the Constitution, and I say to the most powerful man in the universe, Mr. President, if you return to Iran and do not obtain the consent of the Congress or that you appropriately notice the Congress, Mr. President, I will bring articles against you.
Again, Mr. President, no one. Should have the power to take more than 300 million people at war against his own will. The United States Congress must be engaged in this process. The President is quite simple. Either you will respect the constitution of the United States of America, or you expect Al Green.
