Here’s how Booker discovered that he had broken the record:

Chuck Schumer: “Would the senator give in for a question?”

Cory Booker: “Chuck Schumer is the only time in my life that I can tell you no.”

Schumer: “I just wanted to tell you, a question, do you know that you have just broken the record?”

Booker exceeded 23 hours while he and other Senate Democrats protest on Trump’s policies and the impact they had on the American people.

As a not so small bonus, a black man broke the record for Strom Thurmond, the famous racist, which set the longest speech record in the civil rights law in 1957.

Whenever Strom Thurmond and its genre can be pushed deeper into the bin of history, it’s a good day for America. The fact that this happened during the presidency of the Modern Thurmond Strom, Donald Trump, is a bonus.

The fact that the political chatter class is already trying to analyze and understand if Booker’s speech will energize the Democrats lacks point.

Democrats are already under tension. They were waiting for their party to catch up.

Democrats do not need someone to energize them. What they need are the members of their group to listen and do What they want.

Cory Booker listened to, and the result is that he sent his party to the members of his party that they are seen and heard, and if the Democrats feel seen and heard, they will be much more likely to present themselves and vote in the important elections in 2026 which can put the brakes to the presidency of Trump.

What do you think of the Senator Booker who defines the recording? Share your reflections in the comments below.
