Given that members of the Trump administration seem to point their finger of blame to the defense secretary Pete Hegseth for signalgate with an increasing frequency, it seems that Hegseth could be set up to take the fall of the signal scandal.

Senator Tammy Duckworth, a combat veteran who was injured in Iraq, does not hide his disgust for Hegseth or what she thinks should be done.

Senator Duckworth said:

Pete Hegseth is an AF * Cking liar. It is such clearly classified information that he recklessly disclosed who could have killed our pilots. He needs to resign immediately in disgrace.

Hegseth and all the other officials who have been included in this group cat must be subject to an independent investigation. If the Republicans do not join us to hold the Trump administration responsible, then they are accomplices of this dangerous and likely criminal violation of our national security.

This is the last part that should link the points of the American people. The reason for which Pete Hegseth and other members of the Trump’s incompetent team were able to obtain jobs for which they are not qualified is that the Senate Republicans have confirmed them.

The Senate Republicans were warned when they entered lock behind Trump’s candidates despite almost each of them with serious red flags who should have disqualified them during the confirmation process.

The reason why so many Senate republicans are trying to raise this scandal is that they own it.

Pete Hegseth is a liar who is not qualified for the work he currently has, but the Senate Republicans have put it there. Tammy Duckworth was right, but I suspect that we will not see a real investigation into Signalgate until the Democrats resume the room.
