Gavin Newsom mocks Trump in Davos

It’s a brutally honest fact: Trump, at 80, doesn’t travel well. There’s a reason he appears on the world stage less and less and his travels get shorter and shorter as he gets older.

Trump shows his age and declines even more when he travels.

The wisdom of allowing Trump to spend hours rambling in the White House briefing room on Tuesday, then putting him on a plane and sending him to Switzerland on Wednesday should be questioned.

Trump considers himself a titan who shakes the world when he speaks, but the reality was revealed in Davos.

Trump said:

We’re going to help people in California. I know Gavin was there. I got along very well with Gavin when I was president. I think Gavin is a good guy and we will do it, if he needed it I would do it in a heartbeat. I would like to see. We helped them a lot in Los Angeles, a lot early in my tenure when they had problems.

But we would love to do it. I would say that if I were a Democratic governor or whatever. I would call Trump. I would say, come in, make us look good, because we’re cutting crime down to zero and we’re taking out the people, the career criminals who are only going to do bad things and we’re bringing them back to their country.

But where we have done it, it has been incredible, and we have the ability to do it at much higher levels. We are removing illegal aliens from welfare and other government benefits that I have called for to begin immediately. There will be no more payments to sanctuary cities because they are really just sanctuaries for criminals.

They really protect the criminals, and they are the ones we need to punish for the crooked murders, the drug dealers, the mentally insane, they have emptied their mental institutions in the United States, and yet we have the lowest crime rates we have ever had in the history of the country. I just came out.

The camera panned to Governor Newsom, who was very still in Davos, and he could be seen mocking Trump.
