While Trump and his vice-president try to set the wheels in motion to exploit Charlie Kirk’s death for the aim of repressing criticism from the left, even the normally docile press pool of the White House has grasped the fact that something does not seem right with what Trump does.
After Trump signed a prescription linked to the planned invasion of Memphis, Tennessee, a journalist asked: “Do you think it would have been appropriate to reduce the flags to have staff when Melissa Horman, the orator of the Minnesota Chamber, was also shot by an assassin?”
Trump said, “I don’t know. Oh, who?”
The journalist said: “The president of the Minnesota Chamber, a Democrat. Who was murdered this summer?”
Trump’s response, “If the governor had asked me to do so, I would have done it, but the governor of Minnesota had not asked me. I didn’t do it. I wouldn’t have thought of that. It’s happy.
