Speaking to Italian media, Trump made a statement that will be familiar to any American who follows politics.
Trump claimed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni begged him to take a photo at the G7.
Politico reported:
In a phone call with Italian media Thursday evening, Trump said Meloni was “probably happy I talked to her. I didn’t have to,” adding that “she wanted a picture with me so bad. I wouldn’t have taken it, but I felt sorry for her.” The remarks appear to contradict the prime minister’s recent insistence that his relations with the president were as good as ever.
Since Donald Trump stumbled through life living in an illusionary world of his own creation while failing, he probably convinced himself this was reality, but Prime Minister Meloni put up with Trump’s lies.
