Prebiotic pepsi cola.

Pepsico On Monday, he announced that he will launch a prebiotic cola under his brand of homonymous soda, from this fall.

Pepsi PREBIOTIC COLA occurs only four months after the drinks giant announced its acquisition of $ 1.95 billion in Upstart Poppi. The consumption of soda has largely fallen over the past two decades in the United States, but prebiotic sodas, fueled by Poppi and its Olipop colleague, have conquered consumers concerned about their health in the past five years with their intestinal health allegations. The acquisition closed in May.

Before the agreement, Pepsi would have aimed to launch his own functional soda under his Soulboost brand, but had canceled these plans.

While demand for its drinks falls at the national level, Pepsi looks at health trends such as proteins and fibers of fibers to attract customers. In the second quarter, the volume of North American drinks of the company decreased by 2%. His homonymous soda was one of the rare light points, helped by the success of Pepsi Zero Sugar.

Consumers can buy Pepsi prebiotic cola online from fall and from retailers next year. The new drink contains three grams of prebiotic fibers – one more gram than Poppi’s soda, but only a third as much as the fiber content of olipop.

The new Pepsi drink also contains five grams of cane sugar. In the United States, classic pepsi is sweet with corn syrup.

The artificial sweeteners and corn syrup with high fructose content were criticized by the secretary of health and social services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his program “Make America Healthy Again”. President Donald Trump, a longtime fan of Diet Coke, said on Wednesday in an article on social networks that Coca-Cola agreed to put the “real cane sugar” in its homonymous soda, which contains corn syrup in the United States, the company has not confirmed the announcement.

For its part, Coke presented its simply pop prebiotic soda brand in February to consumers on the west coast and in the Southeast, just a few weeks before Pepsi announces the Poppi agreement. Managers could share Mroe’s updates on the performance of the line at the Cuke’s results conference on Tuesday morning.
