A man who loves media attention did not rush to hold a press conference. Trump has not returned to Washington to speak to the nation in the aftermath of the deadliest flood in the United States for over a century.
Trump gave usual republican thoughts and prayers and signed a disaster declaration. In other words, he has done the naked presidential minimum and did not leave what is likely to be hundreds of people dying, including dozens of children, interfere with his vacation weekend.
