Donald Trump’s Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, is a healing fund manager who has no idea that it is not to be without affording health insurance.

On the state of the Union of CNN, Dana Bash told Bessent: “The president promised that there would be no modifications to the social benefits of Medicaid. And putting a work requirement is, by definition, a change in social benefits. ”

Bessent argued that people who will lose their Medicaid should go to find a job: “No, there is no change in services. There is a change in the requirements to obtain the advantages. And what we do, we bring manufacturers’ jobs. We bring wages of the work class.

Video:

There are some problems with Bessent’s suggestion. Thirty percent of American jobs do not offer health insurance. Sixty percent of people who have health insurance thanks to their employer report have trouble paying medical bills, so the idea that employers offer good health insurance is more myth than reality.

The Trump administration and the Republicans push the lie that most people on Medicaid can work. 56% of Medicaid beneficiaries are children, people with disabilities and the elderly.

Ninety-two percent Adults under the age of 65 and not disabled who receive Medicaid already worked full -time or part -time.

People of Medicaid are generally distributed in four groups: children, disabled people, the elderly or workers.

Given that the Republicans remove Medicaid of tens of millions of Americans, the reality is that people who do not correspond to the republican story of being “validated and lazy” will lose their health insurance.

The Trump administration is on who is on Medicaid. These are not people who can find a job. Many of them work on jobs that do not provide health insurance.

A rich man tells people who have trouble working economically to obtain health care that may not be affordable or at their disposal, regardless of the number of jobs they work.

The Trump Medicaid cuts are built on a fundamental lie that will harm or even kill people by preventing them from receiving rescue care.
