The New York Times helped create the Trump monster that has now turned them

Trump asked for retractions and apologies via his lawyer for the New York Times and CNN on stories reporting that Iran’s bombardment failed, but Times said no.

Times reported:

In a letter to the Times, a personal lawyer of the president said that the newspaper’s article had damaged the reputation of Mr. Trump and demanded that the press organization “retracts and apologizes”, which the letter describes as “false”, “defamatory” and “non -patriotic”.

Times, in a response on Thursday, rejected Mr. Trump’s requests, noting that officials of the Trump administration had later confirmed the existence of the report, published by the Defense Intelligence Agency, and its conclusions. “No retraction is necessary,” wrote the newspaper lawyer David McCraw, in a letter.

“No excuse will be coming,” he added. “We have told the truth at best our capacities. We will continue to do so. “

The New York Times does not deserve the praise of doing what was once the minimum response to the requirements of retraction and baseless apology. There is no reason why the NYT and the CNN apologize. Trump has always provided no evidence that the stories reported were wrong.

It is a predictable turn of events. The New York Times passed the campaign in 2024 inclining its coverage towards Donald Trump, Despite the approval of Harris publishers. They employ several journalists with close links with Trump World, and now the person that corporate media thought they saved their business trying to destroy them.

Donald Trump does not believe in a free press. Trump uses the threat of prosecution to silence the media to report the information he does not want the American people to know.

CNN also refuses to retract and apologize, but they also caused damage to press freedom by folding the knee to Trump, it is therefore practical that they find their principles when Frankenstein comes to destroy their village.

There should not be any sympathy for CNN or NYT. They are a large part of the reason why the country is in the current mess, and some suggest that they deserve all the consequences that arise to be so willing to help Trump.

What do you think of CNN and the New York Times refusing to retract and apologize to Trump? Share your reflections in the comments below.
