2028 potential democratic candidates are heading for the middle, and it's a big mistake

Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris both have in common. They all moved to the middle as candidates for the Democratic presidential election, and they all lost.

Barack Obama did not move in the middle. Obama did not move and did not change when he became presidential candidate and he won twice.

Joe Biden is a fascinating example because he started in the middle, moved to the left to consolidate the party and won.

The only common point in the recent history shared by all democratic presidential campaigns is that when they move in the middle, they discourage the democratic base and they lose.

Some Democrats 2028 presidential hopes repeat history in the wrong direction.

Politico reported:

In search of a path outside the political desert, the potential candidates in 2028, in particular those who came from the blue states, try to bring a rhythm to the left on social issues in the party in the party cost them the November elections.

The governor of Maryland Wes Moore, who is black, vetoed a bill which took measures to the repairs adopted by his state legislature. California governor Gavin Newsom called him “unfair” to allow transgender athletes to participate in university and young sports. And Rahm Emanuel urged his group to return to the center.

…

Moderate democrats have a moment and there is a group of consultants and strategists ready to support them.

The same Democratic strategist and consulting class which was mistaken in 2016, 2022 and 2024, and caused seats to be lost in 2020, the Democrats of Congress in 2020, thinks that this time by looking more like Republicans, they will do things well.

Democrats lost in 2024 because their campaign strategy and their message were so bad that it depressed and demoralized their own party. Democrats have lost because millions of democrats have not voted. It is not that the Democrats have lost men in the middle or whites. Democrats have lost the Democrats. Instead of thinking about how to get the environment, these “experts” must see how to energize their own party.

Not that they listen, but the democratic voters have been telling them for months what they want from the party.

Democratic voters want leadership, struggle and daring action.

The Republicans did not win the elections based on cultural war distractions. They won because prices and inflation angry voters, and the Democrats did not recognize and did not respond directly to this anger.

Any candidate for the Democratic presidential election who follows the advice of these consultants and moves to the environment will not be the candidate. Democratic voters with primary presidential elections are more biased to the left, and hear a message on how Democrats must pass these voters in the middle.

The most exciting candidate who is ready to fight the Republicans will be the candidate. Those who try to run in the middle will be left in the dust.

What do you think of any candidate for the Democratic presidential election of 2028 who wants to run in the middle? Share your reflections in the comments below.
