A Lynchpin of Trump’s statements on prices is that they are made to bring manufacturing to the United States. Trump expects companies to return to America.

However, when he supported the face of CBS The Nation, the trade secretary, Howard Lunick, told another story.

CBS the nation’s face transcription:

SECOND. Lutnick: The country is concentrated on – You realize, thousands of dollars in factories will be built in America. It’s a huge GDP. The factories built in America are a huge GDP –

Margaret Brennan: It takes years –

SECOND. Lutnick: And that will count us.

Margaret Brennan: And you said that the robots were going to provide these jobs. These are therefore not jobs for union workers.

SECOND. Lutnick: No, these are really automated jobs. These are automated factories – automated factories. But who is the key, who will build the factories? Who will use the factories? Who will make them work? Major American workers. You know, we will replace –

Margaret Brennan: You said robots on other networks. You said that to Fox.

SECOND. LITNICK: – The armies of millions of people – Well, remember, the army of millions and millions of human beings screwing small screws to make iPhones, this kind of thing will come to America. It will be automated and great Americans – the profession of America, will repair them, will work on it. They will be mechanisms. There will be CVC specialists. There will be electricians, the profession of America.

Video:

The cat has come out of the bag now. Pretexts for these prices being good for anyone other than potentially billionaires are demystified by members of the Trump administration.

Prices are a regressive tax that targets people in the middle and at the bottom of the American economy.

Prices are an upward redistribution of wealth.

Workers did not think that when Trump spoke of bringing jobs back to America, what he meant was that people could find jobs in maintenance and concierge in automated factories belonging to large companies and billionaires, but that seems to be what Trump administration promises.

It is a whole lie and a lie that crushes the economy.
