The UFC of the TKO group has concluded a several million dollars partnership agreement with Meta This will bring the league of mixed martial arts closer to the technological company of Mark Zuckerberg, told CNBC.

The integration of the UFC with META will cover the company’s portfolio, including Meta AI, Meta Grasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Threads. The specific financial terms have not been disclosed.

Meta will become the “Official Partner of Fans Technology” of the UFC and will be presented to its brand in the octagon events of the UFC for à la carte and “night” events.

“Mark and his Meta team will do things that marry the UFC fans,” said Dana White, president and chief executive officer of the UFC, in a statement at CNBC.

The partnership with Meta is separate from the discussions on the rights of the UFC media, which should start later in April. The UFC exclusive negotiation window with its current ESPN partner ends on April 15. ESPN does not plan to renew its agreement before the window expired, CNBC previously reported.

Companies first started working on a sponsorship agreement in the second half of 2024, according to Grant Norris-Jones, head of TKO global partnerships. The UFC has had discussions with a number of potential partners in various commercial units and has realized that Meta could provide the League with a large part of what it wanted, said Norris-Jones in an interview.

“Meta will be our official marketing partner, our official partner of AI glasses, our official portable partner, an official social media partner,” said Norris-Jones. “They make an important investment in our ecosystem.”

Meta threads will present exclusive UFC content and will be referenced in live UFC emissions, said Norris-Jones. The two companies are already working on a series of upcoming follow-up advertisements in the following three months, including more details on a new UFC hunter classification system which will be based on Meta Technology, he said.

Zuckerberg love love

While White and Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, have not personally marked the terms of the agreement, it is “pleasant to have air coverage” of the close relationship of managers, said Norris-Jones. White joined Meta Board in January.

“I love this sport and I can’t wait to work with the UFC to let the fans experience new ways,” Zuckerberg said in the press release at CNBC.

The Meta CEO attended a number of UFC events and participates personally in the mixed martial arts.

Zuckerberg said on Joe Rogan’s podcast in January that corporate culture would benefit from more “male energy”. The meta-PDG said in July that President Donald Trump’s reaction after being shot in the ear was “badass”. Trump is also friendly with White, who approved Trump and spoke during the 2024 National Republican Convention.

“Having a culture that celebrates the assault a little more has its own merits,” said Zuckerberg on the Podcast Rogan.

Meta noted Zuckerberg’s love for combat sports in its annual report as a potential risk factor.

“We are currently dependent on the continuous services and performance of our key staff, including Mark Zuckerberg,” said the company in a business file. “Mr. Zuckerberg and some other management members participate in various high -risk activities, such as combat sports, extreme sports and recreational aviation, which include the risk of serious injury and death. If Mr. Zuckerberg should become unavailable for any reason whatsoever, there could be a significant impact on our operations.”
